Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Scrum Master to support the delivery of key data and analytics initiatives within a Global Data Engineering and Business Intelligence (BI) team.

In this role, you will lead Agile ceremonies, coach cross-functional teams on Scrum best practices, and help drive alignment between business objectives and technical execution. You’ll play a critical role in enabling high-performing teams, removing delivery roadblocks, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate is a confident Agile leader with strong facilitation skills, experience in technical or data-driven environments, and a passion for team success.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives)
Partner closely with Product Owners to maintain well-defined backlogs, clear priorities, and shared team objectives
Track and communicate team performance metrics, delivery progress, and risks to stakeholders
Proactively identify and remove impediments while shielding the team from external disruptions
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by driving meaningful retrospectives and actionable outcomes
Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, values, and best practices
Coordinate across teams to manage dependencies and ensure successful delivery of complex initiatives
Support broader Agile transformation efforts by promoting scalable, high-impact Agile practices

Required Skills & Experience

5–7 years of experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in a technical or data-focused environment
Proven success leading cross-functional Agile teams (experience in data engineering or BI preferred)
Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and related tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence)
Strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Experience coordinating across multiple teams and aligning delivery with strategic goals
Demonstrated growth mindset with a focus on improving team performance and outcomes
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent required

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with Scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe)
Familiarity with BI, Data Warehousing, or Data Engineering environments
Agile coaching experience or certification
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
