Job Description

Reporting to the Business Analyst Team Lead, the position requires extensive operational and business knowledge of Store Systems for convenience stores and fuel operations, along with a very good working knowledge of corporate Systems (Merchandising, Fuel, Accounting, Marketing). The responsibilities involve coordination of requests for enhancements from Stakeholders and creating detailed business requirements documentation. The position also involves documentation for various activities regarding new version releases, including:

• Analyzing proposed enhancements from vendors and business
• Collaborating with Engineering to draft the solution design
• Partnering with QA and Engineering to draft QA charter & UAT test plans, including test cases
• Writing, updating, and publishing all project-related documents
• Interacting with Retail Systems Project Managers as needed for project planning and execution.

The candidate will also be an intricate resource and be the lead liaison for the Retails Systems Team regarding demands from the operations and fuel teams.

Responsibilities:
- Work as a lead member of the Retail Systems team with functional and operational knowledge of the NCR Radiant and Verifone POS systems
- Defines development, testing, and documentation of business requirements and deliverables on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments
- Participates in defining the development and project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation
- Leads the definition of the business requirements that are related to the Retail Systems. (i.e. C-stores and Fuel)
- Plans, facilitates, and leads workgroups with internal and external stakeholders to gather, define, analyze and validate business, process, functional, and data requirements and business rules for selected systems
- Provides support to the user community: training, error solving, system enhancement recommendation, expert office automation advice, query building, etc.
- Develops and maintains all project-related documents, including on-site and remote installation documents, QA charters, etc which represent current and future systems
- Creates risk assessment analysis representing a complete and realistic course of probable events
- Writes training materials as needed for end users to operate new and existing store systems technology
- Acts as a liaison with vendors for efficient implementation of new software products and projects
- Partners with RS Engineers to create and update milestones for every project

Required Skills & Experience

- Extensive knowledge of Retail Systems within a store environment
- Good understanding of convenience stores and fuel station environments
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in related area
- Excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities
- Project coordination skills
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly self-motivated and directed
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems and/or equivalent work experience
- Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff
- Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite of products
- Understanding of ERP systems, key architecture points, and overall structure
- Work with a sense of urgency
- Follow published style guide and other team guidelines
- Commitment to gain Smartsheet certification within 6 months of engagement
