Job Description
This role is focused on managing the entire supply chain process for new product introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring that materials, suppliers, and timelines align with the company’s goals for launching new products. Here’s a breakdown of what it involves:
Core Responsibilities
Supply Chain Development & Integration
You’ll design and implement supply chain strategies for new products, making sure all components—from sourcing to delivery—are integrated smoothly.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with Engineering, Quality, R&D, Product Management, and leadership to understand technical requirements and translate them into actionable supply chain plans.
Develop realistic project timelines based on these inputs.
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
Lead RFQ (Request for Quote) processes to identify cost-effective suppliers.
Manage relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturers, ensuring timely delivery of materials for R&D and prototype builds.
Project Execution & Prioritization
Handle multiple projects simultaneously, often with competing priorities.
Use creative problem-solving to keep projects on track when challenges arise.
Data & Risk Management
Track critical data like:
Bill of Materials (BOM)
Production cost trends
Supplier capacity and lead times
Risk assessments
Identify root causes of delays or risks and lead corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Transition to Production
Oversee the hand-off from development to production planning, ensuring a smooth transition for mass manufacturing.
Continuous Improvement & Team Collaboration
Foster open communication and a positive team environment.
Drive process improvements for efficiency and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
5-7+ of project/program management within a high-growth manufacturing company
Proven success in product development to launch of product
Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner with various team and internal/external stakeholders
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
PMP Certification
Lean Six Sigma Certification
Knowledge of engineering principles
Master's Degree
