Job Description
One of our large pharmacy and retail clients is looking for a strong back end java engineer to join their growing team. They are looking for the following day to day responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and Microservice architectures.
- Build and integrate REST APIs and manage data caching with Redis.
- Collaborate using DevOps tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Synk, Maven, and Gradle.
- Automate workflows and scripting tasks with Groovy, Python, Shell, and related languages.
- Monitor system health and performance using Dynatrace, Splunk, and similar tools.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications in Kubernetes clusters on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipeline management, and ensure code quality and security.
- Provide on-call support and triage incidents as needed.
Compensation: $50-55/HR Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, REST API development, Redis, Microservice Architecture, Spring frameworks, and Spring Boot.
- Proficiency with DevOps and automation tools: GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Synk, Maven/Gradle.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Groovy, Python, Shell, etc.).
- Experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Google Cloud Architect Certification (preferred).
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Expertise in Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
- Experience with Ruby or Ansible.
Strong background in Linux environments.
- Prior experience providing on-call support and incident triage.
- Exposure to AI/ML technologies.
- Additional experience with Redis.
