Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Production Engineer to join a growing team in the Advanced Manufacturing Industry. A Defect Control Engineer focuses on identifying, analyzing, and reducing foreign particle defects in manufacturing processes using structured problem‑solving methods such as Lean Six Sigma. On a daily basis, they analyze particle samples with tools like SEM, EDX, and XRF to determine contamination sources and drive corrective actions. They work cross‑functionally with production and quality teams to update control plans and PFMEAs, standardize improvements, and resolve internal and customer quality issues. The role also involves monitoring cleanroom conditions, applying cleanliness standards such as VDA 19.1, and supporting audits to ensure consistent, defect‑free production. This role can pay between 96K-118K based on an evaluation of relevant YOE and education level. This role included annual bonuses and relocation packages.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
3+ years of experience in Yield enhancement or Defect Control engineering for production environment
Experience using tools such as SEM, EDX and XRF
Familiar with VDA 19.1

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Battery Cell / Electrode Process
Advanced Manufacturing or Semiconductor equipment experience
Fluent in Korean and English
