Job Description

The Solid Waste Support Specialist provides front‑line help desk support for residential trash, recycling, and container services. This role assists customers by resolving service issues, processing requests, and ensuring accurate updates across internal systems to support smooth field operations.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary help desk contact for residents reporting missed pickups, damaged containers, and general solid waste service questions.
Troubleshoot service concerns by reviewing route information, verifying service days, and submitting work orders for field crews.
Respond to inquiries related to billing, service fees, and account adjustments.
Document all customer interactions and update account information using internal customer service and billing systems.
Coordinate with solid waste field teams and supervisors when escalations or repeated service issues occur.
Provide clear guidance on container rules, bulk‑trash schedules, recycling guidelines, and sanitation policies.
Prioritize and manage multiple incoming requests in a fast‑paced help desk environment.

Required Skills & Experience

Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and accurately enter data.
Problem‑solving skills for troubleshooting service and account issues.
Ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient in high‑volume call environments.
Clear written and verbal communication.
