Supply Chain Data Analyst

We are seeking a Lawson Supply Chain Functional Analyst to support Phoenix Children's Hospital during a Lawson-to-Workday migration. This is not a traditional data analyst role. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience supporting and managing Lawson Supply Chain functionality, processes, and operations, while also leveraging data to drive decision-making and ensure operational readiness throughout the transition.
This individual will serve as a subject matter expert for Lawson Supply Chain and will support purchasing, inventory management, receiving, item master maintenance, par management, and other core supply chain workflows. The analyst will utilize Lawson Add-Ins, advanced queries, and reporting tools to troubleshoot issues, validate system data, support end users, and maintain the integrity of supply chain operations during the migration.
The role will partner closely with Supply Chain leadership, IT, and operational stakeholders to validate data conversions, support workflow testing, resolve functional issues, and ensure ordering, receiving, inventory, and replenishment processes are functioning properly within both Lawson and Workday environments.
While strong analytical skills are required, the primary focus of this position is Lawson system support, functional process management, and operational oversight. The analyst will perform item-level and location-level analysis, conduct utilization and purchasing reviews, support unit-of-measure standardization initiatives, and assist with inventory optimization efforts across the health system.
A critical responsibility of this role is supporting the Lawson Supply Chain month-end close process. The selected candidate must have prior experience supporting healthcare supply chain month-end close activities and be available to participate in the monthly close process on the morning of the 1st of each month. This work begins prior to 6:00 AM Arizona time and typically requires approximately two hours to complete, ensuring all inventory, purchasing, receiving, and supply chain transactions are accurately reconciled and closed.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, possesses deep Lawson Supply Chain functional expertise, understands the operational impacts of system configuration and data integrity, and can effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the migration effort.

• Healthcare supply chain data analyst experience within a hospital or health system, with demonstrated ownership of item‑, location‑, and par‑level analysis
• Experience with Lawson supply chain month end close process
• Proven ability to analyze large, complex datasets to identify utilization patterns, purchasing variances, over‑ or under‑stocking risks, and opportunities for standardization across locations
• Hands‑on experience with Lawson, including functional support, troubleshooting, and a strong understanding of downstream operational impact (ordering, receiving, inventory, and item master)
• Advanced Lawson Supply Chain functional experience with a strong focus on system administration, process management, operational support, Lawson Add-Ins, query development, and end-user support; this role is responsible for managing and supporting Lawson supply chain processes
• Deep end‑to‑end knowledge of healthcare supply chain processes, including central supply ordering, par location replenishment, inventory management, receiving, and item master maintenance
• Advanced experience building, running, and interpreting Lawson queries, including use of Lawson Add‑Ins to validate data, reconcile discrepancies, and perform bulk updates
• Experience supporting ERP implementations or migrations, with a focus on data validation, cleansing, mapping, and readiness rather than surface‑level reporting
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, and multi‑source data reconciliation, to support detailed analytical workflows

• Experience with Lawson Unit of Measure (LUM) and LUM activation, including aligning ordering, stocking, and receiving units across systems and locations
• Demonstrated experience standardizing purchase and utilization data across differing units of measure (e.g., each vs. box vs. case) to the lowest common unit for accurate 12‑month trend analysis
• Experience analyzing par location data to determine whether ordering patterns align with actual usage and defined par levels, and identifying gaps or inefficiencies
Experience with Lawson Version 10 (on‑prem)
