We are looking to bring another highly skilled CNC Machinist with expertise in both 5-axis machining and Swiss lathe operations to the team. This role is critical to our product development and prototyping efforts, requiring precision, efficiency, and a strong understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
Day to Day:
Program, set up, and operate 5-axis CNC machines and Swiss lathes to produce precision components.
Interpret work orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications to plan machining operations.
Utilize CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360 preferred) to create and optimize machining programs.
Perform machine setups including installation of chucks, collets, bushings, tools, and stock pushers.
Verify machine settings and part accuracy using measurement tools and sample workpieces.
Maintain quality standards through drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and threading operations.
Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs or tooling as needed.
Conduct preventive maintenance and follow manufacturer guidelines for equipment upkeep.
Document production activities, quality checks, and shift handovers.
Collaborate with engineering teams to support product development and provide design feedback.
Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in mandatory ATF training.

5+ years of experience in CNC machining, including 5-axis and Swiss lathe operations.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360 preferred).
Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, GD&T, and machining principles.
Ability to perform engineering calculations and apply geometry and trigonometry.
Effective communication skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Basic mechanical engineering knowledge and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to support other product development tasks as needed.
Commitment to safety and continuous learning.
Experience in a fast-paced prototyping or product development environment.
Familiarity with Axons product lines and manufacturing standards.
