Job Description

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for end to end delivery governance for complex technology initiatives in an Agile/Hybrid delivery environment. This role focuses on cross team coordination, financial management, risk and dependency management, and executive reporting, while partnering closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams to ensure outcomes are achieved in alignment with enterprise standards.
The Senior Project Manager does not perform Scrum Master duties, but enables successful Agile execution through planning, oversight, and stakeholder alignment.

Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Execution Oversight
• Lead and coordinate delivery across technology, business, and vendor teams to ensure integrated execution and alignment to business outcomes
• Ensure projects are executed in compliance with enterprise SDLC and PMLC standards, including governance, controls, and documentation
• Establish and maintain integrated project plans that align Agile team delivery with upstream/downstream dependencies
• Manage scope, schedule, and delivery commitments across the lifecycle of the initiative
Agile / Hybrid Delivery Enablement
• Partner with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to align sprint level execution with overall project milestones and commitments
• Facilitate cross team dependency management and resolution of delivery blockers that extend beyond the Scrum team
• Translate Agile delivery progress into clear, executive level project status and forecasts
• Support Agile ceremonies as needed (e.g., PI or release planning) from a coordination and governance perspective, not facilitation
Financial Management
• Own project financials including budget development, forecasting, actuals tracking, and variance analysis
• Partner with finance and portfolio teams to ensure accurate capitalization, OpEx/CapEx tracking, and forecasting
• Provide financial transparency and early risk identification related to funding, capacity, or cost variances
Risk, Issue, and Dependency Management
• Maintain a comprehensive RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
• Proactively identify, assess, and escalate risks and issues with clear mitigation plans
• Drive timely decision making and resolution through governance forums and leadership engagement
Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
• Deliver consistent, accurate project status reporting (schedule, scope, financials, risks, dependencies)
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, adapting messaging for technical, business, and executive audiences
• Prepare executive level materials for steering committees, leadership reviews, and portfolio governance
Governance & Leadership
• Ensure adherence to enterprise project governance, audit requirements, and delivery controls
• Responsible for gathering and submitting appropriate SDLK/PMLC documents to the EPMO
• Responsible for ensuring enterprise phase gates are complete at the appropriate time in the initiative lifecycle.
