Job Description
Our client is seeking a senior-level Enterprise Applications Governance & Modernization Consultant to provide strategic leadership across a large portfolio of enterprise applications.
This is not a Project Manager role. We are looking for an experienced enterprise applications professional who has owned application portfolios, developed modernization strategies, established governance frameworks, and guided organizations through technology transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate can operate comfortably at both the executive and technical levels, serving as a trusted advisor to leadership while partnering closely with engineering teams. This individual will help assess application health, establish governance and documentation standards, create modernization roadmaps, improve operational maturity, and drive long-term application strategy.
The successful consultant will:
• Build trust with application engineers and executive leadership
• Establish sustainable governance practices
• Improve documentation and operational maturity
• Develop actionable modernization roadmaps
• Strengthen application portfolio visibility and reporting
• Help drive key organizational priorities around security, modernization, innovation, standardization, and documentation

Required Skills & Experience
Required Experience
• 10+ years supporting enterprise business applications in large, complex organizations
• Experience managing enterprise application portfolios including Oracle enterprise applications/environments
• Experience developing governance frameworks, standards, and operational processes
• Experience creating application modernization and lifecycle management roadmaps
• Strong understanding of enterprise applications, integrations, infrastructure dependencies, and operational support
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders, technical teams, and executive leadership
• Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills
