We are seeking a skilled Databricks Platform Administrator/Architect to support the setup and administration of our Databricks environment, with a strong preference for experience in Azure Databricks. This role is focused on platform architecture and administration, not data engineering. You will play a key role in an upcoming proof of concept (POC) for several business units, helping to establish a scalable, secure, and cost-effective Databricks platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and administer the Databricks platform, with a focus on Azure integration.
Set up and manage catalogs, access controls, monitoring, and cost management.
Ensure platform governance, security, and operational readiness.
Support the model development lifecycle using preferred tools and frameworks.
Automate administrative tasks using Python.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and usage of the platform.
Provide guidance and best practices for Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and Azure Data Lake integration.

Proven experience as a Databricks Administrator or Architect.
Strong knowledge of Azure Databricks, including setup and configuration.
Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
Working knowledge of SQL (average proficiency is acceptable).
Experience with Azure services, especially ADLS and Data Lake.
