Work independently and as a collaborative team member in executing critical security engineering and operations activities
Implement protective measures through hardware and software solutions, custom scripts, custom tools, and data encryption technologies
Perform vulnerability and penetration testing to monitor the organizations security stance and ensure the maintenance of a secure environment
Review logging and monitoring systems to identify issues, threats or attacks, and potential misconfigurations that could impact the security of the network
Participate in the development of infrastructure and process improvement projects in several domains such as Threat Modeling, Security Architecture, Identity, Incident and Vulnerability Management
Lead cyber incident response facilitate gathering, analysis, and preservation of evidence used to determine root cause, and generate final reports
Contribute to planning and creation of security program documentation
Assist with development and execution of security controls following accepted security practices
Conduct risk assessments of planned and installed information systems
Conduct system security evaluations, audits, and reviews and identify corrective actions
Participate in network/systems design to ensure implementation of system security policies
Evaluate the security of new product designs
Assist development teams in secure software development
Spearhead the DevSecOps program in the AWS cloud environment
Mentor and train cyber security team members in emerging security tools and technologies.

Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in Cyber Security
Significant experience in a cyber-defense role, demonstrated hands on experience with networks, as well as cyber defense tools, incident response, processes, policies, operations, and governance
Domain experience in security monitoring, software design, penetration testing, encryption, networks, and cross domain solutions
Experience performing network and application security architecture reviews, and providing secure methodology insight and recommending secure tools and software solutions
Minimum of 3 years of Windows or Linux server administration
Scripting knowledge: PowerShell and/or Python
Experience with AWS security best practices and secure architecture design
Experience deploying, managing, and operating vulnerability scanning systems
Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills and ability to perform under pressure
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
