Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically adept Chief Engineer to provide expert guidance and oversight across an Aerospace companies Avionics Surveillance product lines. This role is pivotal in ensuring the technical integrity, design quality, and timely delivery of our cutting-edge aviation solutions. The Chief Engineer will be a gatekeeper for design phases, a leader in problem-solving, and a key contributor to product development.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Oversight: Act as the primary technical authority for assigned Avionics Surveillance product lines, providing expert guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
Design Review Gatekeeper: Participate in all design reviews, ensuring adherence to established processes, completion of all development work, and production of necessary artifacts to validate designs.
Problem Resolution: Lead or actively participate in investigations to resolve complex technical issues during development or field issues with existing products.
Product Expertise: Become an expert in one or more of our core product areas (transponders, ADSB, TCAS, TOS systems).

Required Skills & Experience

12+ years of experience in systems engineering within the aerospace industry.
Proven ability to lead and contribute to the full systems engineering lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
Product Line Expertise:
Specific Domain Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise and experience in at least one of the following Avionics Surveillance product areas:
• Transponders
• ADSB (Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast) Technology
• TCAS (Traffic Collision Avoidance System)
• TOS (Terrain Obstacle System)
Pilot Qualification: Active pilot license and experience is highly preferred (though not a hard requirement)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Pilot background
Understanding of human factors in aerospace product design, specifically in relation to flight deck integration, user interface, and crew interaction.
