Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to work a long-term contract for one of our technology clients. This person will manage the engineering scope, schedule, and budget for greenfield, brownfield andretrofitengineering / designprojects. This position will manage internal and external resources for the delivery of the Datacenter power infrastructure to align with the datacenter capacity roadmap.

Roles and Responsibilities - The Data CenterProject Managerwill be responsible for thefacilitation and deliveryof industry-leading datacenterpower infrastructure including the development of new technology and advanced concepts from pre-programming through design development, construction, and the turnover to Operations. This role will provide infrastructure coordination, management, and overall leadershipfor our datacenter power infrastructure. To be successful in this role the candidate will oversee the delivery of multiple, concurrent, complete distribution, substation, and transmission projects supporting datacenter solutions aligned with the scopes, schedules, and budgets of the projects. TheProject Managerwill engage with key stakeholder groups within the organization as well as outside vendors who specialize in datacenter architecture and engineering.

Skills and Qualifications - Successful candidates will manage multiple utility provider teams of engineers and designers to deliver multiple projects aligned with the defined scope, schedule, and budget. The candidate must have excellent project management, communication, organization, and leadership skills. Candidates must possess a high level of proficiency in transmission and substation design and construction. The candidates must also be able to work with other technical and non-technical groups in a fast- paced environment and do so with an even temperament. The candidate must be a person of integrity, be methodical, detailed-oriented with a strong work ethic.

Pay Range is from 40-55/hr

Required Skills & Experience

Knowledge of Utility Processes and Management - 5 years
Electrical/Civil Designer & Construction Experience - 5 years

Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field, or 10 years of experience in substation design and/or delivery

Strong written and verbal communication sills

Possess the ability to lead teams of engineers in advanced engineering and operation processes and procedures as they relate to large data center environments

Minimum of 10 years experience in consulting engineering or construction of substations

And/or minimum of 5 years experience as lead engineer, design manager or project manager of transmission or substation projects

And/or minimum of 5 years experience with datacenter engineering or construction

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Electrical Engineer / Professional Engineer is a plus.

PMI or PMP certification preferred
