Job Description

About The Role

The Sr. Facilities & Capital Projects Manager owns all physical plant assets, infrastructure systems, and capital equipment programs at our manufacturing facility. You keep the building production-ready while managing a continuous pipeline of capital equipment purchases, installations, and commissioning events. If the building or the equipment is ever the reason production misses a target, that's on you — and you won't let it happen.

Responsibilities

Facility Management

• Own all facility systems: electrical distribution, HVAC, fire suppression, compressed air, lighting, and building management systems.

• Manage the preventive maintenance program for all facility infrastructure.

• Own air quality permit compliance: permit conditions, regulated operations, and annual reporting.

• Coordinate with landlord and property management on lease obligations and approvals for facility modifications.

Capital Equipment

• Own the capital equipment budget: track approved CapEx, manage POs, and report actuals vs. plan monthly.

• Lead capital equipment procurement from RFQ through vendor selection, delivery, installation supervision, and commissioning.

• Own factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing for all major capital equipment.

• Manage equipment vendor relationships through warranty periods; maintain the capital asset register.

Team Leadership

• Lead the Capital Equipment Engineer, Construction Coordinator, and on-site Facilities Technicians.

• Assign work orders, enforce PM schedules, and ensure 24/7 facility readiness.

Required Skills & Experience

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of facilities and capital projects experience, with at least 5 years in a senior role managing industrial or manufacturing facility infrastructure.

• Direct experience managing capital equipment procurement: RFQ, vendor evaluation, PO management, FAT/SAT, and commissioning.

• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, OSHA 1910, NFPA 70, NFPA 72, and NFPA 13.

• Experience managing landlord/CM relationships in a leased industrial property.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-bay industrial or manufacturing facility conversions.

• Background in air quality permitting for manufacturing operations.

• Familiarity with large-scale electrical service upgrades.
