Insight Global is seeking a Network Engineer II or III for a Public Sector client. This role would be working 4, 10 hour shifts M-TH with 2 days being onsite and the remainder remote.
This role would be primarily focused on On-prem with some Azure cloud Connections as well as high priority on Firewalls and LAN/WAN.
Architect, install, and support connectivity for the Towns LAN/WAN network resolving complex problems to minimize customer impact;
Manage implementation of enterprise networking systems and attend project meetings to define the equipment needed;
Provide advanced technical support to other team members for better service delivery;
Decide and make recommendations as needed;
Manage and monitor system alerts and network performance to gather data for trends and reporting;
Manage and maintain network security systems to prevent unauthorized access to resources within the Town network;
Add, remove, or change configurations to provide appropriate authorization and connectivity through ACLs, VPN, and NATs;
Architect, manage, and support backup solutions scheduling and frequency to maintain highly available systems and application uptime;

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management, Information Systems, or closely related field. However, a non-technical degree can be acceptable if complemented with the appropriate certifications and/or experience
Network Engineer II:
5-7 years of Information Technology industry experience;
3-5 years of Enterprise Network Design and Administration, including Firewall Security;
Network Engineer III:
7-10 years of Information Technology industry experience;
5-7 years of Enterprise Network Design and Administration, including Firewall Security;
CCNP Preferred (III) or CCNA Minimum (II) - ok if expired and has been done but prefer active
AWS Cloud Practitioner / Solutions Architect Preferred
Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Preferred)
