Job Description

Summary
The City of Chandler is implementing Workday (Financials and HCM) and seeking a Workday Integration Developer to support integrations, reporting, and custom application development. This is a technical role requiring hands-on experience with Workday integration tools, reporting frameworks, and Workday Extend. The developer will collaborate with the implementation partner, build integrations with multiple vendors, develop reports and dashboards, and train internal staff on Workday technical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain Workday integrations using:
○ Cloud Connect
○ EIB/DTS
○ Orchestrate
○ Workday Studio
• Develop Workday Reports and Prism Analytics reports.
• Build Workday Extend applications for custom functionality.
• Utilize BIRT for document generation and formatting.
• Work with Workday APIs for system connectivity.
• Collaborate with implementation partner on integration strategy.
• Train internal technical staff on Workday tools and best practices.
• Support post-go-live activities, including hypercare and ongoing enhancements.
• Ensure integrations and reports align with business processes while maintaining a “vanilla” Workday configuration.
Project Context
• Migration from Oracle EBS to Workday.
• Target go-live: June 2026 (aligned with fiscal year starting July 1).
• Hypercare period: 3 months post go-live.
Minimal customization—focus on business process changes and integrations.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have Skills
• Proven experience as a Workday Integration Developer or similar technical role.
• Hands-on expertise with:
○ Workday Studio, EIB/DTS, Cloud Connect, Orchestrate.
• Strong knowledge of Workday Reporting and Prism Analytics.
• Experience building Workday Extend applications.
• Familiarity with APIs and integration protocols (REST/SOAP).
• Ability to work onsite in Chandler, AZ (initially full-time, then hybrid).
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration and training.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Nice-to-Have / Pluses
• Workday certifications (Integration, Reporting, Extend).
• Experience with BIRT for custom document generation.
• Prior experience in public sector or large-scale Workday implementations.
• Knowledge of Workday Financials and HCM modules.
• Experience with data transformation and vendor integrations.
