Job Description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Structural Analysis Engineer to support the design, development, and sustainment of advanced aerospace systems. This individual will work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams to perform structural analyses, develop technical solutions, and ensure compliance with performance, safety, and certification requirements.

The ideal candidate will have extensive engineering experience with a strong background in structural analysis within the aerospace industry. While aircraft experience is valuable, candidates with direct aerospace and defense experience are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis of metallic and composite structures using analytical methods and finite element analysis (FEA)

• Develop, validate, and maintain structural models utilizing tools such as FEMAP, NASTRAN, ABAQUS, NX, or similar software

• Evaluate strength, stiffness, fatigue, damage tolerance, durability, vibration, and structural integrity requirements

• Conduct sizing analyses for primary and secondary structural components

• Support design reviews and provide technical recommendations to internal and external stakeholders

• Investigate and resolve structural issues identified during design, manufacturing, testing, and production

• Prepare and present technical reports, analysis documentation, and engineering assessments

• Collaborate with design, materials, manufacturing, systems, and test engineering teams to support program objectives

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related STEM field

• 7-10 years of total engineering experience

• Minimum 3 years of recent hands-on structural analysis experience

• Experience performing finite element analysis (FEA) and structural assessments using industry-standard tools

• Experience analyzing metallic and/or composite structures

• Strong understanding of structural mechanics, stress analysis, fatigue, fracture mechanics, and load path development

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Aerospace and Defense industry experience strongly preferred

• Experience supporting aircraft, launch vehicle, spacecraft, missile, or military platform programs

• Hands-on experience with FEMAP, NASTRAN, ABAQUS, NX, CATIA, Teamcenter, or similar engineering tools

• Active Secret Security Clearance highly preferred

• Previous Secret Clearance with ability to re-obtain

• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs
