Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Probe Technician to join the team of a large Semiconductor firm in Chandler, AZ. The primary responsibility of this individual is to Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment used to test the electrical properties of semiconductor wafers. This involves using probes and other specialized equipment to test circuits and ensure their functionality. This technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of semiconductor chips during the manufacturing process.


Additional responsibilities include:
Prober Setup: Configure the prober and wafer for operations and enter test programs
Device Map Files: Create map files for different device types and probe analysis
Performing tests: Activates equipment to run trial tests and ensures correct setup.
Following procedures: Reads process sheets, setup manuals, and other documentation to ensure accurate testing.
Troubleshooting and repair: Removes, sharpens, or replaces defective probes or probe cards
Monitoring equipment: Observes wafer alignment and adjusts equipment settings as needed.
Maintaining documentation: Keeps records of tests and maintenance performed on equipment.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ year of experience as a Probe Technician
Proficiency in setting up probers and generating device files
Ability to identify / troubleshoot issues with probe equipment
Experience with SPEA analyzers

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree within related field
Any probe testing with other testing device manufacturers
