Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Engineer, PE to join a growing team in Phoenix, AZ. A Mechanical Engineer, PE in the commercial MEP space is responsible for leading HVAC and mechanical system design from early planning through construction, ensuring systems are code‑compliant, buildable, and aligned with project goals. Day to day, the role involves developing design concepts, performing engineering calculations, and translating requirements into coordinated construction documents for commercial buildings. The engineer works closely with project managers, designers, and other disciplines to resolve technical challenges and maintain consistency across architectural and engineering systems. Regular interaction with clients, contractors, and permitting authorities is required to support design decisions, respond to field conditions, and keep projects moving forward. The position also includes mentoring junior staff, providing technical oversight, and upholding quality standards throughout multiple active projects. This role can pay up to 150K+ based on an evaluation of total years of relevant experience and education.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
Strong working knowledge of applicable International Codes, including: IBC, IMC, IECC, IFC, and IFGC
Experience supporting commercial land development projects with an emphasis on new construction
Proven ability to manage priorities and deliver results across multiple concurrent projects
Proficiency in Revit for mechanical system design and coordination
