Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer to support our client out of Fort McMurray on a 12-month contract. This opportunity requires 5 days per week on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of advanced process control across various processing plants.

Responsibilities include:
· Performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and updates to models and control strategies
· Lead APC projects, including feasibility studies, designing, risk assessment, step test, modeling, application commissioning, benefit assessment, operator training, documentation and turnover
· Collaborate within the APC team to improve overall APC maturity, including updates to APC standards and guidelines as well as the regional APC roadmap

Required Skills & Experience

· 2+ years of experience in process control, including experience with designing, installing, configuring, commissioning and maintaining APC applications within commercially available APC suites (Aspen, Honeywell, and/or DeltaV software)
· Data analytics and data analysis experience
· A Bachelors degree in Engineering and/or post-graduate studies in Process Control, Computer Science or Mathematics
· Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)
· A valid drivers license and a clean driving record

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Exposure to Pi Historian, MatLab, and Seeq
