Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Turnaround Planner for a 12 month contract out of Calgary, AB. Reporting to the Program Manager – Capital Maintenance & Turnarounds, the Turnaround Scheduler/Planner will provide Turnaround Coordinator support services in the areas of turnaround planning/scheduling. Collaborates with operations and other stakeholders on the development and review of work packages, schedules, and resources. Develops and implements project controls and monitoring procedures to ensure the achievement of project scope and schedule objectives. Collaborate with operations control (finance) to support cost tracking

Job Responsibilities:
- Full understanding of overall project scheduling fundamentals (critical path, dependencies, constraints, baselines, etc.)
- Prepares and maintains complex integrity inspection, repairs, projects, and construction schedules
- Responsible to ensure that project schedule aligns to company standard WBS
- Prioritizing, planning, developing, and scheduling multi-trade turnaround maintenance, integrity, and capital project activities.
- Develops schedule basis
- Works with third parties to ensure plans are carried out; recommends corrective actions when the work schedule deviates
- Prepare detailed execution plans for required activities for each specific work area within the scope of a turnaround.
- Maintaining an up-to-date list of turnaround projects (Investment, maintenance, and integrity projects)
- Developing critical path actions for shutdown, turnaround, and restart processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather accurate cost data and provide detailed cost estimates for turnaround projects.

Required Skills & Experience

- Engineering degree or technical certificate/diploma in an applicable discipline, and eligible for registration in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
- 10+ years of experience within a project environment
- 5+ years of turnaround/shutdown planning
- Strong user of Microsoft Project/Primavera (P6)
- Proficiency in project management software, cost estimation tools, and scheduling software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of handling several assignments, managing a diverse range of stakeholders/contractors, and prioritize demands and workload are key competencies.
