Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Settlements Supervisor for one of our customers. This is a 4 month contract with a likelihood of extensions. It is preferred that a candidate is located in Calgary and can go on site 2 days a week. A successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the team is accurately processing daily EFTs under deadline constraints, acting as a subject matter expert for systems and processes, supporting process improvement initiatives, be a liaison between Settlement Analysts and senior leadership. They will also prepare reconciliations, complete month end tasks and support the Manager as required. Open communication with internal business units is vital within the position. This role will also act as a support and escalation point for the day to day activities of the Settlement Analysts and Lead, Settlements.

Required Skills & Experience

· 5+ years experience in a progressive and responsible role in accounting, collections or reconciliations
· 3+ years experience as Supervisor providing mentorship, team building, conducting performance reviews, and team goal setting and monitoring results, the team may include personally that work in remote locations
· Technical knowledge of JDE AR module and related manuals required
· Experience dealing with credit collection agencies regarding proposals, settlements and litigation: follow up with agencies to provide additional account details or status updates
· Proficient in the administration of the Canadian Privacy Act; Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act; Credit Institute of Canada; Fair Trading Act of Alberta etc
· Experience with Accounting practises and reconciliations an asset
· Intermediate Excel Skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot table, various Excel formulas);
· Great analytical skills with strong attention to detail
· Ability to cross check other staff members work for accuracy.
· Completion of Post Secondary program in Business or Accounting
