Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Microsoft Security Architect for one of our top clients. This is a 6 month contract with a high likelihood of extensions. This is a remote opportunity; however, the preference is that the candidate is local to Calgary, Saskatoon and Loveland, CO. A successful candidate will be working in the threat risk assessment team and primarily engaging in Microsoft related threats/risks. Responsibilities include utilizing information from internal security infrastructure to gain visibility into cyber-threats and cyber-incidents, the ability to maintain a strong understanding of current cyber security risks and vulnerabilities and collaborate with other team members. Experience in Entra ID and Purview is crucial for the success of this role!

Required Skills & Experience

- 10+ years of IT industry experience with minimum 3 of those years working as a Senior Security Architect at a mid to large sized organization.
- Hands on experience working in Microsoft environments, including Entra ID and Purview.
- Experience working in Cybersecurity, building out patterns, standards and policies.
- Experience managing an architecture portfolio.
- Previous experience working in incident response, automation and threat modelling.
- Knowledge of networking, security awareness and awareness of malicious activities online.
- Security documentation experience.
- Must have a clear understanding of enterprise project management fundamentals and working with agile software development teams.
- Experience working in an AWS or Azure environment.
- Ability to think outside of the box and communicate with upper level management/stakeholders.
