Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a General Manager (GM) for a permanent opportunity for one of our product development and manufacturing organizations. A successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, managing teams in technology, finance, operations, and revenue. This role is responsible for driving growth, aligning resources with revenue and profit targets, and fostering a strong workplace culture. The GM will work closely with cross-functional leaders to implement strategies that promote organizational success. Experience in manufacturing, electronics or industrial operations is a must!

Required Skills & Experience

· 8+ years in a senior leadership role, ideally within manufacturing, electronics, or industrial operations.
· Strong strategic planning, problem-solving, and team leadership abilities.
· Expertise in P&L management, financial forecasting, and operational efficiency.
· Experience with B2B client relations, product pricing, and contract negotiations.
· Background in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering.
· Familiarity with/understanding of industry regulations (e.g., CSA/Intertek, ISO 9001).
· Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
· Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred)
· Experience with CRM/PRM tooks (PipeDrive preferred)
· Exposure to BambooHR or other HR Management tools
Excellent communication skills, a go-getter mindset and a proven track record of leadership is a must!

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
· Microsoft Dynamics GP or other ERP solutions
· PipeDrive or other CRMs/PRMs
· BambooHR or other HR Management tools
· Familiarity with product pricing, market positioning, and contract negotiations
· Understanding of global oil and gas market and competition
Industry Experience & Technical Knowledge
· Background in electronics engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical field
· Knowledge in process design, implementation, and improvement
· Experience with product development, and/or embedded systems
· Understanding of supply chain management, lean manufacturing, and quality control
· Knowledge of industry regulations (e.g., CSA/Intertek, ISO 9001, etc.)
Leadership & Management

· 8+ years of experience in a senior leadership role, ideally in manufacturing, electronics, or industrial operations
· Understanding of Canadian labor laws, workplace safety regulations, and compliance requirements
· Experience implementing HR policies, performance management, and workforce compliance
·
Business, Financial & Procurement Acumen
· Understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and financial forecasting
Experience with cost control, efficiency improvements, and operational KPI
