Insight Global is looking for a Backend Developer to join a large insurance client for a 5-month contract with possibility of extension into 2026. This is a hybrid opening requiring the candidate to be onsite 2 days a week at either their downtown Calgary (preference) or downtown Toronto office. The successful candidate will primarily be a Java developer who's worked within Policy Center and will be responsible for developing integrations within the policy administration tool and other systems. This team is highly cooperative and will require someone very open to team environments and high communication.

- 5 years of experience designing, developing and maintaining backend services using Java17+ and SpringBoot3
- Extensive hands on experience with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment using Jenkins and Git
- Understanding and familiarity of Splunk
- Experience working with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Cloud experience, specifically with AWS
- Confidence collaborating and communicating with stakeholders
