Insight Global is looking for a Director of Hardware Development to join a large technology manufacturing client on a 3-5 onsite hybrid, permanent position in Calgary, Alberta. The Director of Hardware will be responsible for overseeing the entire hardware engineering lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to testing and production. The successful candidate will be directly leading a team of 6-7 resources across skills such as Hardware Designers, Hardware Engineers, and Electrical Engineers.

8+ years of experience in a manager or director-level position within hardware engineering, with a track record of successful product development.
Experience leading teams of at least 4-6 people.
Strong understanding of electronic hardware design principles, components, and technologies.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, including software engineering, product management, and manufacturing, to deliver integrated solutions.
Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor's or masters degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Holds an APEGA License (The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta)
