Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Data Engineer to join a high‑impact data integrity team supporting Alpha Tech, responsible for delivering real‑time and batch data that power performance KPIs. This role involves end‑to‑end project execution within Agile 2‑week sprints, including onboarding diverse data sources, defining transformation requirements, and collaborating with QC for validation. The engineer will perform validation and unit testing of data pipelines, integrate solutions into Snowflake, and contribute to both optimization efforts and new project builds. The environment includes ETL development, API integrations across varied data formats, and deployment within Azure and Kubernetes. This is a 1‑year remote contract open across Canada, with optional access to the downtown Calgary office.

Required Skills & Experience
• 4+ years of experience as a data engineer or relevant
• Hands on experience with python and SQL
• Experience with ETL Development, end-to-end pipeline ownership including extraction, transformation, loading, and validation
• Snowflake Expertise: Experience creating dynamic tables, stored procedures, Snowpark functions (Python/Java), and tasks
• Experience working in an agile delivery framework in an Azure environment
Unit Testing & Validation: Strong focus on pipeline integrity and quality control
