Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire a Business Analyst to join one of the world's largest Oil and Gas companies on an 8-month contract (with high potential to extend) sitting out of Calgary, AB. This resource will join the Integrated Gas division for their Value Chain Optimization program, developing the tools/models needed to integrate data and present disparate data as information to make decisions fasters. To date, the development work has focused on creating MVP's (Minimum Viable Products) for the Gas Supply Plan, Inventory Management Tool, in addition to visualizations and dashboards for KPI's and reporting. The Value Chain Optimization program will help enable a transformational change for the Canada Integrated Gas business. This resource will be expected in office 3/days a week.

Day-to-day responsibilities (not limited to):

1) Business Process Analysis and Design:

- Conduct gap analysis of existing processes and identify inter-related workflows.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and pain points.

- Document process models, including flowcharts and diagrams.

- Propose innovative solutions to streamline processes and enhance productivity.

2) Document Management:

- Create and update essential documents, such as Business Requirements, Requirements Traceability Matrix, and Solution Design Document.

- Maintain accurate and organized records to facilitate effective communication across teams.

3) Testing and Training:

- Assist in creating testing plans and participate as a business process tester.

- Support the development of training plans and testing materials.

- Ensure end-users are well-prepared for process changes.

4) Post Go-Live Support:

- Provide ongoing support after project implementation.

Address any issues, resolve queries, and optimize processes as needed

Required Skills & Experience

Must Have Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Business Analyst, with minimum 10 years of professional experience

- Proficiency in Agile methodologies

- Familiarity with working in Azure-based cloud environments

- Ability to create SQL queries

- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices

- Experience working on projects with application integration

- Experience with Dashboard building, Power BI visualization and Power Apps

- Prior work in Oil and Gas (Midstream, Upstream or Downstream business units)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:

- Azure-900 certification

- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional)

- Exposure to robotic process automation (RPA)
