Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Remote Transport Access Network Engineer to support our telecommunications client. This individual will be responsible for managing and troubleshooting a wide range of transport technologies that support DOCSIS access networks. Day-to-day work includes provisioning and maintaining circuits across wireline systems like T1 and fractional T1, as well as working with DACS, MOX, and DIA services. The engineer will engage with middle-mile and last-mile infrastructure, long-haul transport, and technologies such as DWDM, CWDM, fiber, microwave, and satellite. A key part of the role involves reading and interpreting circuit layout records to identify issues and determine whether they are logical or physical in nature. The engineer will write MOPs, design CORs, and perform break/fix operations, often coordinating with field technicians to resolve problems. This position requires a hands-on approach to discovering and diagnosing network faults, ensuring reliable service delivery across complex transport layers. The hours are 8:00-5:00pm AKDT.
