Job Description

5+ years experience as SAN Administrator to support system implementations including design, architecture, disaster recovery procedures, provisioning, software installations and configurations for systems.
Administration of CIFS, NFS, FC configurations, fabric switches and configurations, Dell Data Domain systems, Veritas NetBackup, VMware environments, and Windows Operating systems. Works closely with system and application administrators when provisioning/deprovision storage. Perform system monitoring, incident analysis, and security compliance/auditing, including DISA STIGs, DoD Directives/policies and best practices. Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
Provide monthly storage reports and notify GOV leadership with any known system utilization constraints/issues. Perform normal system upgrades for both software and hardware, performance tuning and also perform scripting for normal procedure automation. Provide routine administrative support for SAN infrastructure including LUN management, SAN Aggregate allocation, and Storage Allocation. Notify appropriate Information Technical Equipment Custodian (ITEC) or Property Custodian (PC), in writing, within 4 hours for all accountable item moves. Neatly bundle and conceal all excess system or peripheral cabling after each installation or repair.
