Job Description

A client is seeking a Value Stream Specialist in Huntsville, AL. This will support the Sr. Value Stream Specialist on the team as responsibilities multiply. We have a lot of people on the program ranging from supply chain to engineering to logistics who are out doing things, and the PM continuously hears “if I could just get process documented” We need someone to come in and define next layer process lower to program. This person will take corporate command media and developing unique program desktop process instructions that allows us to comply. The hand offs to multifunctional groups, document processes and swim lanes who owns what and when. We need someone to show us where gaps are. Responsibilities will include:

Conduct value stream workshops with internal customers to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce waste.
Apply methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen to drive process improvement.
Oversee value streams for all product families to ensure process owners are performing their responsibilities across programmatic and engineering teams
Ensure that all value stream documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant teams.
Liaise between our business, operations, product, and engineering teams to ensure requirements are understood, properly prioritized, and assessed to implementation.
Provide guidance to collaborating teams on building any tools or process enhancements.
Continuously work with internal users and clients to obtain feedback on improvements.
Document processes using company approved command media.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree
2-10 years of relevant experience
Certification in Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies.
Proven experience in process improvement and value stream management.
Experience managing kaizen event and tiger teams
