Insight Global is searching for an experienced High Energy Laser (HEL) Systems Engineer to support the development and deployment of next-generation directed energy solutions with a client supporting the DOD. The Chief Engineer will: Design, develop, and integrate high energy laser systems and subsystems.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including optics, electrical, mechanical, and software engineering.
Develop and maintain system-level requirements, interface documents, design specifications, and test plans.
Support technical reviews and provide clear communication to internal teams, partners, and government stakeholders.
Identify, track, and mitigate technical risks across the program lifecycle.
Contribute to test planning, system validation, and data analysis from lab and field events.
Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the technical team.
Stay current with trends and advancements in HEL, directed energy, and related defense technologies.
Support proposal efforts and technical solution development for new business pursuits.
