Job Description
An employer is looking for a Remote SAP Data Migration Specialist to support end‑to‑end data migration activities for SAP S/4HANA implementations. This resource will execute and manage data extraction, profiling, transformation, and loading from SAP ECC and non‑SAP source systems using SAP Data Services (BODS), HANA SQL, and related migration tools. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining extraction jobs and dataflows, performing data profiling and validation, building field‑level mappings and transformation logic, and loading master and transactional data using Migration Cockpit, LSMW, and flat files. The role involves supporting multiple mock loads, reconciliations, and production cutover activities; debugging and resolving data and load issues across BODS, Migration Cockpit, and HANA; and collaborating with functional and business teams to address data quality issues, support cleansing efforts, and manage data defects through defined issue‑management processes.

Required Skills & Experience
Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance
5+ years of hands-on SAP data migration experience
Strong experience with SAP Data Services (BODS)
Practical experience with LSMW, LTMC, and S/4HANA Migration Cockpit (Migrate Your Data / Fiori apps)
Strong experience in:
o Data extraction
o Data profiling
o Data mapping
o Data transformation
o Data loading
o Data validation and reconciliation
Working experience with SAP HANA backend, including:
o Writing and executing SQL queries
o Analyzing staging and target tables
o Troubleshooting load and data issues
Experience handling large datasets and flat-file-based loads
Working knowledge of SAP master and transactional data objects
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations, conversions, or carve-outs
Experience with performance tuning of BODS jobs
Exposure to data profiling or data quality tools
