Job Description

A client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer/Drafter in Huntsville, AL. This team supports advanced research development programs in the green energy space and the components, systems, and equipment going into these solutions. This ME will support multiple projects simultaneously, all focused around heavy design, analysis, and equipment installation. This team does build to print and design build. Topics of projects are in the realm of green energy and small modular reactors (SMRs) and microreactors.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in mechanical design and build
Solidoworks or similar CAD tool
ASME
Eligible for a clearance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience and knowledge of ASME III requirements and components (Div 5 huge plus)
ASME VIII Div 1 or Div 2
NQA-1 certification
P.E. license
Stress Analysis with Nastran, FEMAP, or Ansys
