Job Description
A government contractor in Huntsville, AL is hiring a Director of Business Development to identify customer and market requirements, formulate strategies, and to develop the customer relationships leading to the generation of orders for our products and services to grow the business. This person will be responsible for:
- Own the business development and strategic planning of the business - establishing the overall direction and growth plan
- Lead the development of relationships between key decision makers in the customer community and the leadership team
- Identify potential opportunities and coordinate capture efforts across the company to secure new business
- Create and maintain presence in the market and effectively communicate capabilities in this area.

Required Skills & Experience
-Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Business Development- Proven track of establishing relationships with customers from government agencies and prime contractors in the military markets.
-Strong customer background required with understanding of rugged computers and military communication systems for government marketplace.
- Ability to generate leads and to convert them into bookings.
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of the customer requirements, budget and acquisition process.
- Proficient in Microsoft operating system and applications.
- High energy, strong team player that is capable of working self-sufficiently in the field.
- Frequent travel is required.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
