Job Description
The Certification Administrator is responsible for end-to-end management of digital certificates across all lines of business within the organization. This role ensures certificates are properly issued, renewed, validated, paid for, and integrated across enterprise systems, supporting security, compliance, and operational continuity. The position plays a critical role as certificate lifecycles shift toward shorter validity periods and increased automation.
Key Responsibilities:
-Own and manage the full lifecycle of digital certificates across all business groups
-Ensure certificates are valid, renewed on time, and properly licensed/paid for
-Support and manage 200–250 active certificates, with validity shifting from ~200 days to 45-day lifecycles by year-end
-Administer and support DigiCert Trust Lifecycle Manager (TLM), including:
Installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades
Troubleshooting automation issues and failures
Integrating TLM with the existing enterprise environment
-Act as the primary point of contact for certificate-related issues across all lines of business
-Monitor certificate health, expiration, and usage to prevent outages or security risks
-Ensure middleware platforms are functioning properly as part of certificate operations
-Participate in an on-call rotation (once every 10–11 weeks) to address certificate or middleware-related incidents

Required Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of how digital certificates work, including:
-Certificate types, criteria, usage, pricing, and lifecycle management
Experience administering certificate management platforms, such as:
-DigiCert Trust Lifecycle Manager (TLM)
-Venafi, Sectigo, AppViewX, or similar tools
Experience supporting Windows and Linux environments
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in automated certificate workflows
Comfortable working across multiple business units and large enterprise environments
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience with Ansible
-Middleware background (major plus; training can be provided if needed)
-Familiarity with Splunk for monitoring, logging, or troubleshooting
-Experience supporting or integrating security tools in complex enterprise environments
-Experience in large organizations where certificate governance and scale are critical
