Job Description

An employer is looking for a Lead ServiceNow Admin/ Developer to sit remotely. Your primary responsibility will be to act as the in-house SME for ServiceNow development and administration efforts in the ITSM space. The client is going through a new implementation of ServiceNow and you will collaborate closely with their implemtnation partner through the process. You will ensure they follow best practices and industry standards and assist with any custom integrations/ development efforts. From there, 70% of your time will be ongoing administration and development of the ServiceNow platform, while spending 30% of your time leading the team and building strategy/ product roadmap. Additional tasks will include
- Tailoring the user interface and user experience to align with organizational needs and improve user adoption
- Working with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Identifying and resolving technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks within the ServiceNow platform
- Monitoring system performance and implementing optimizations to ensure efficient operation
- Adhere to and enforce ServiceNow development standards and best practices across development teams

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years experience in ServiceNow administration and development
2-3 years leading ServiceNow administration/ development teams and mentoring junior engineers
Strong background in ITSM and related modules
Experience integrating ServiceNow with other 3rd party systems
Well versed in release management and configuration
Proficiency in designing and configuring forms, workflows, business rules, UI policies, and other automation tools within ServiceNow
Understanding and use of various ServiceNow APIs (REST, SOAP) for integrating with external systems and applications
Knowledge on full ServiceNow development lifecycle
