Job Description
A client of Insight Global is needing an Avionics Electrical Installer responsible for installing, integrating, and troubleshooting avionics and electrical systems on developmental and prototype aircraft, with a strong focus on rotary-wing platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings, installing wiring and avionics equipment in accordance with FAA standards and industry best practices, diagnosing and repairing electrical and avionics issues, and providing feedback to engineering and logistics teams to improve installation documentation. The position also supports aircraft operations as needed, assists with maintaining tools and bench stock, and occasionally travels to customer sites to support program requirements. Candidates will leverage extensive avionics integration experience, particularly on military and general aviation rotorcraft, while supporting FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) and Army Modification Work Order (MWO) development efforts.

Required Skills & Experience
• Read and interpret drawings to install avionics systems on developmental/prototype aircraft.
• Provides feedback to engineering and logistics personnel in order to produce installation documents.
• Troubleshoot electrical and avionics systems IAW published technical data.
• Install electrical wiring and electrical / avionics systems IAW installation drawings and industry standards / best practices.
• Operate and maintain company-owned and customer rotorcraft as required.
• Assist in developing and maintaining bench stock and tool room as needed.
• Travel as required to support company programs and customer requirements.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Possess (or eligible to attain) FAA Airframe and Power Plant Certification.
Experience with General Aviation and Military Rotorcraft required. Experience with UH-60 / S-70 highly desired.
Must have 15 years experience in avionics and/or electrical installation/integration with at least 2 years of this experience in accordance with approved FAA standards and specifications.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
Experience in development of FAA Supplemental Type Certificates or US Army Modification Work Orders is required.
