Job Description
The Site Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and growth of the Decatur, Alabama manufacturing facility. This role owns operational execution, financial performance, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while ensuring alignment with corporate strategy. The Site Manager partners closely with engineering, program management, supply chain, and quality teams to drive on-time delivery, zero-defect performance, and margin attainment across all programs. They take a hands-on approach to improving shop floor efficiency, standardizing work, and removing operational bottlenecks through lean manufacturing and disciplined process control. The role is accountable for site P&L, KPIs, and operational metrics that drive visibility into labor productivity, equipment utilization, and profitability. As the senior leader onsite, the Site Manager leads staffing, talent development, and safety initiatives while fostering a culture of operational excellence and compliance. The Site Manager also serves as the primary customer interface, managing key relationships, supporting contract negotiations, and proactively addressing customer needs. In parallel, they lead growth initiatives to secure new customers and programs, ensuring facility capacity and resources are aligned to support sustained year-over-year growth.
Pay Range: 160K-200K

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors Degree in a related field
15+ years of progressive experience within aerospace or space engineering/manufacturing
5+ years of proven experience leading manufacturing site operations within Space, Missile, Defense, or Hypersonics environments
Demonstrated success managing site-level P&L, financial reporting, and operational KPIs
Strong background in operational execution, program delivery, and cross-functional leadership
Hands-on experience driving operational excellence, including standard work, process controls, and bottleneck reduction
AS9100 quality systems experience with a strong compliance mindset
Ability to lead and influence in a matrixed organization across engineering, program management, quality, and supply chain
Proven track record of driving and sustaining operational and revenue growth
Deep understanding of mechanical and technical manufacturing environments
Ownership of site safety programs and safety policy compliance
Strong leadership and people management skills, including hiring and workforce development
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Background in business development, sales, or customer growth initiatives
Experience integrating and/or implementing ERP systems
Demonstrated success leading customer negotiations, proposals, and contracting
Experience managing capacity planning to support future pipeline growth
DOE L Clearance and/or DoD Secret Clearance
Prior experience launching or scaling a new facility or site
