One of our customers is in need of a Senior Access Engineer to join their team. This individual will provide and maintain highly specialized IT solutions and will serve as liaison between the end users and other network resources. They will analyze and document the business needs of project stakeholders in developing detailed business requirements for new and existing systems and/or network elements. They will use communication, analytical and problem-solving skills during the system development life cycle to maximize the benefit of all resources.
Responsibilities:
-Works closely and effectively with various departments including, but not limited to, Broadband Field Services, the Network Operations Control Center (NOCC), the Consumer Call Center, and Technicians in order to develop and maintain IPTV infrastructure with a keen focus on network integrity and network survivability.
-Develops and maintains effective communications and working relationships and appropriately trains personnel and shares information with other departments to ensure cross functional transfer of knowledge company-wide.
-Remains available for network repairs, installations, and potentially unforeseen or unplanned circumstances on a 24x7 basis when requested.

-7+ years of professional experience with advanced network access technologies in the Telco space, specifically troubleshooting and configuring PON (Passive Optical Network) fiber and OSI Layer 3 model -GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) / XGS PON
-Advanced knowledge of IP MPLS networks and other network protocols such as ERPS, DNS, DHCP, etc.
-CCNA certification
