Job Description

Insight Global is searching for a GIS Analyst to join a utility company based in Birmingham, Alabama. This position has the potential to extend longer than a year or convert into a full time position with the client. The GIS Analysts will be responsible for editing map features and its correlating attribute date in the GIS, perform quality checks of GIS versioned data before it is posted to the GIS, and occasionally go on field visits to jobsites to determine requirements for service and main work. This position will transition to hybrid after an initial training period in downtown Birmingham, Alabama.

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's Degree in Georgraphy, Geoscience, Cartography, GIS or related field or in the process of completing degree

* 1-3 years of GIS experience (ArcPro and/or ArcMap)

* Valid driver's license

* Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and establish rapport with a diverse array of people

* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in order to meet individual goals and deadlines
