Job Description
-Review engineering drawings and 3D CAD models to determine the most efficient manufacturing process.
-Prepare cost estimates for materials, hardware, coatings, outside services, and labor.
-Estimate labor hours for machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly operations.
-Identify Design for Manufacturability (DFM) improvements to reduce costs and improve production efficiency.
-Manage RFQs, pricing data, and project information within ERP/MRP systems.
-Obtain and evaluate supplier quotes for specialty materials, components, and finishing services.
-Assess project risks, including production constraints, material pricing fluctuations, and scheduling impacts.
-Partner with sales and project management teams to support project timelines, budgets, and technical proposals.
-Perform PFMEA and other risk assessment activities for new projects.
-Develop project schedules based on material lead times, production capacity, and business priorities.
-Analyze estimated versus actual project costs to improve future quoting accuracy.

Required Skills & Experience
-3+ years of manufacturing, fabrication, or job shop experience
-Knowledge of machining, welding, fabrication, and coating processes
-Ability to read technical drawings and 3D models
-CAD/CAM experience
-GD&T experience
-Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-SolidWorks or Mastercam experience
-Experience with ERP/MRP systems
