Insight Global is currently hiring for an ISP Cable Technician (Low Voltage Cable Integration) for a data center client located in Cheyenne, Wyoming. We are looking for technicians who hold either an LV-G or LV-C license or can become fully qualified apprentices to meet all of the requirements set forth by the State and City.
Responsibilities:
Initial Set Up:
Enter after the rough-in phase is completed by the prior contractor.
Perform initial cable pulls from Point A to Point B, following scheduled drawings for accuracy and compliance.
Ensure new pull-strings are in place whenever used.
Security System Installation (Phase 1):
Run cables from the panel to door locations.
Label all wires and neatly coil extra slack for the next contractor handling termination.
Cable Management:
Execute cable dressing and organization.
Keep all bundles tidy, labeled per established standards, and ready for future access.
Camera Cable Runs:
Pull long Cat6 lines from network rooms into ceiling-mounted housing via basket trays and conduits.
Terminate and label each cable, leaving service loops at endpoints.
Network Cabling:
Route network cabling into ladder racks and tray systems for backbone infrastructure.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
Assist with Fluke testing of camera cabling for certification and performance validation.
Coordinate with the foreman for QA/QC review of all installations to ensure compliance and quality.
