Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Inspector to support lead service line replacement projects within residential neighborhoods. This individual will serve as an on-site presence, ensuring that construction activities are completed in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and client expectations. The Inspector will monitor daily field activities, perform inspections of utility work (including water and sewer systems), and document progress and quality throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires strong attention to detail, comfort working outdoors, and the ability to coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders to resolve issues as they arise. The ideal candidate has hands-on field experience, an understanding of underground utility systems, and a willingness to support quality assurance efforts from start to finish. Required Skills & Experience
- 1–3+ years of construction inspector experience (open to candidates a few years out of school or entry-level inspectors with hands-on exposure)
- Strong ability to work in the field environment (outdoors, residential neighborhoods, active construction sites)
- Basic engineering or construction knowledge (degree not required)
- Ability to perform quality checks and documentation over the duration of the project
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Prior experience conducting construction or utility inspections
- Exposure to CCTV inspection, sewer, or water utility systems
- Direct experience with lead service line replacement projects
- Familiarity with underground piping systems (water, sewer, or storm)
- Experience working in transportation or municipal infrastructure projects
- Background in residential utility work or neighborhood-based projects
