An engineering-focused organization in Waukesha, WI is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead a team responsible for the design and delivery of precast concrete structures. This role blends hands-on structural engineering work with leadership responsibilities, including team development, workload management, and cross-functional collaboration.
This individual will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and in alignment with quality and contractual standards while driving continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Required Skills & Experience
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, including performance management and coaching
Coordinate team workloads, staffing, and project schedules
Support HR and leadership on personnel matters and departmental initiatives
Review and approve engineering calculations and drawings prior to sealing/stamping
Ensure all designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Oversee project design teams and ensure successful execution of project milestones
Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve design, production, and construction challenges
Communicate with contractors, architects, engineers, and owners on project requirements
Provide engineering support to sales and estimating teams
Conduct site visits to manufacturing facilities and construction sites as needed
Identify and resolve technical, schedule, and quality issues throughout the project lifecycle
Approve corrective actions and design adjustments when needed
Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Structural/Civil focus preferred)
10+ years of structural engineering experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license (active and maintained)
Strong leadership and team management experience
Experience reviewing and approving engineering calculations and drawings
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders

Occasional travel to plant and field locations
Must be comfortable working in industrial environments and wearing required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, etc.)
Ability to navigate job sites, including uneven surfaces, stairs, and active construction areas
