Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Supplier Quality and Development, the Senior Supplier Quality and Development Engineer is a critical contributor to the success of the Global Supply Chain Management function in the United States. This role leads and executes both strategic and tactical Supplier Quality and Development initiatives across the Global Sourcing and Supplier Development organization. The position is responsible for driving supplier quality activities within sourcing projects and supply chain optimization efforts, applying strong technical expertise and quality engineering principles to achieve project goals and milestones. Additionally, this role provides technical leadership for Supplier Development projects, including continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Six Sigma, Lean tools, and best‑in‑class quality practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop suppliers by evaluating capability, capacity, risk, and overall performance to meet Regal Rexnord standards.
- Support the deployment and compliance of standardized quality processes, policies, and procedures.
- Provide influential leadership through mentoring and skill development for both suppliers and internal teams.
- Conduct supplier audits, analyze results, and implement
- Supplier Development Plans and corrective actions.
- Lead APQP, PPAP, corrective/preventive actions, and continuous improvement efforts to reduce variation and improve process control.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers on technical quality issues, cost‑reduction initiatives, and supply chain optimization.
- Drive improvements in product and process quality using metrics, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Monitor, maintain, and report supplier performance metrics across global manufacturing facilities.
- Support resolution of systemic supplier quality issues to improve customer satisfaction.
- Implement and promote standardized quality best practices across the supply base.
- Train suppliers and internal teams in advanced quality tools and problem-solving methodologies.
- Use customer and internal feedback to drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Materials, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering with 7+ years of Supplier Quality and/or Quality Assurance experience
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes with expertise in at least two areas (e.g., castings, forgings, machining, plastics, coatings, heat treatment, metallurgy).
- Proficient in quality tools and methodologies: Six Sigma, APQP, PPAP, PFD, FMEA, PCP, MSA, SPC.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis, and statistical methods.
- Strong Computer Literacy with MS Office products
- Strong analytical and project management abilities.
- Experience with formal supplier assessments, ISO 9001, TS16949, AIAG, CQI and AS9100 based assessments and various supplier audits.
- Background in metrology, inspection methods, and new product development.
- Experience with ERP systems
- Ability to work effectively across all organizational levels and within matrix teams, including supplier networks.
- Proven leadership experience with change management and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
