Job Description

Location: Travel heavy role: First project site is
in Rochelle, IL (8-month project)
- Can be located anywhere in the US if they are ok with being away from home
- Hotel/Lodging paid for
- Federal per diem and demobilization is expensed

Insight Global is seeking a Construction Manager for one of our Engineering Consulting clients. This role is at senior level. Day to day includes:
• Implement, interpret and apply technical specifications, construction drawings, and work plans
• Support project design team and provide constructability reviews of design plans and drawings
• Review, recommend and approve contractor change orders delegated under client authority
• Review and approve contractors’ construction quality control (CQC) procedures including material submittals and manufacturers’ quality control (MQC) documents for completeness and compliance. Maintain complete and accurate files for each submittal
• Interact with project personnel including, contractors, project managers, engineers and clients to cultivate an integrated team approach through open lines of communication and participation in work progress meetings
• Develop and prepare sampling, testing schedules, and detailed test data summaries
• Implement and abide by the policies and procedures outlined in the site-specific project health and safety plans (HASP) and the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in earthworks construction
• Experience with large diameter auger (LDA) excavation or in-situ soil solidification and stabilization (ISS)
• Experience working on Manufacture Gas Plant (MGP) sites
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driving record for business travel

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• PE (Professional Engineer)
• Bachelors in Engineering
• Experience working on coal combustion residual (CCR) sites
