Job Description

Day to day:
Our client is looking for a welder to be responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to accomplish welding IAW customer drawings, specifications.
Youll perform welding tasks based on customer blueprints and specifications. This includes preparing, welding, and finishing metal parts.
- Use various welding techniques.
- Read and understand mechanical drawings and weld symbols.
- Work with different metals like steel, aluminum, and exotic materials.
- Set up welding equipment (amps, volts, etc.).
- Inspect and document work.
- Maintain welding tools and equipment.
- Perform grinding and finishing work.

Required Skills & Experience

Must haves:
- High school diploma.
- 35 years of experience in metalworking.
- High skill level in welding.
- At least 1 year of welding experience.
- Pass welding, eye, and respirator tests.
- Pass a welding proficiency test - 110/18 - all positions.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and with Navy personnel.
