Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled SQL Server DBA to join our Jewelry Insurance customer on a 6-month contract basis 100% remotely. This role is ideal for a mid-level or above professional who is comfortable working through a list of projects and supporting SQL Server environments from 2016 and up. The ideal candidate should have solid experience and exposure to various aspects of SQL Server administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and maintain SQL Server databases (2016 and up)
Implement and manage role-based access controls
Utilize PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks
Work on a variety of projects as assigned
Provide exposure to Availability Groups
Collaborate with team members to ensure database performance and reliability

Required Skills & Experience

Mid-level or above experience in SQL Server administration
Strong knowledge of SQL Server (versions 2016 and up).
Experience with database design and architecture.
Proficiency in performance tuning and optimization.
Familiarity with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
Understanding of database security, including role-based access control.
Experience with PowerShell for Automation and Scripting.
Excellent communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Familiarity with Azure Data Factory
